The forest department has started catching the leopard roaming in the city, so the administration has issued a helpline number along with the advisory. Along with this, the Biodiversity Park of Kadma has been closed.

A leopard was spotted at the Biodiversity Park in Kadma, Jamshedpur city on Friday (March 29). After this, the forest department has started rescue operation efforts. Necessary arrangements have been made for the rescue operation. The forest department has appealed to the people to take special precautions to avoid any loss of life and property due to the leopard.

1 Do not leave children outside the house alone.
2 If you get out of the house for any work at night, do not go alone. At least 4-5 adults should go out in groups.
3 At least 4-5 adults should be in groups while taking cattle to pasture.
4 Tie sound producing devices like bells etc. around the neck of cattle.
5 Do not leave your pets outside the house alone.
6 Do not go out to defecate in the evening or morning in bushy areas.
7 Do not collect kitchen waste around your homes, as it invites stray dogs to that place. If the dogs stay there, the leopard can also get there.8 Keep the bush around the houses clean. Keep adequate lighting outside the house and in the streets.
9 Do not leave the house alone in a state of intoxication.
10 Do not believe in any kind of misleading news. If any such news is received, contact the forest department immediately.
