Elon Musk’s Neuralink: Billionaire Elon Musk has claimed that Neuralink’s brain chips will soon allow paralyzed people to walk again, Daily Mail reported.
“It is possible to shunt signals from the brain motor cortex past the damaged part of the spine to enable people to walk again,” says Musk
His claims come after his company introduced the world with a brain chip that lets paralyzed patients play chess with their minds.

Elon Musk’s Neuralink will cure blindness?
In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, he wrote, “Long term, it is possible to shunt the signals from the brain motor cortex past the damaged part of the spine to enable people to walk again and use their arms normally.”
Musk founded the company Neuralink with seven scientists and engineers in 2016, focusing on developing brain chips that translate thought into action.
In January this year, the company shared that the first paraplegic patient had received the implant.
On March 21, Musk, on his official X account, shared a video stream clip showing patient Noland Arbaugh playing Civilisation VI using his thoughts to control the cursor on a laptop.
In Steam’s video, Arbaugh shared, “The surgery was super easy. I literally was released from the hospital a day later. I have no cognitive impairments.”
To get the brain chip implanted, the patients must have a small chunk of their skull removed with the help of a “sewing-machine-like” robot surgeon who then stitches up the hole.
According to Musk, the procedure only takes 30 minutes, and the patients don’t require general anesthesia.

Tesla chief says eyesight already restored in monkeys after Neuralink allows paralyzed person to play chess
Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has said that his company, Neuralink, has restored sight to blind monkeys using its brain chip technology.
“I should mention that the Blindsight implant is already working in monkeys,” Musk said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
His comments came after Neuralink shared that its patient received the company’s first implant in January and could now use his brain chip to play chess on a computer in a nine-minute live stream on X.
The company aims to connect human brains to computers to help tackle complex neurological conditions.
Regarding his goal of restoring eyesight, Musk said, “Resolution will be low at first, like early Nintendo graphics, but ultimately may exceed normal human vision.”
In an ending note, he added: “(Also, no monkey has died or been seriously injured by a Neuralink device!).”
During the presentation, Arbaugh said, “The surgery was super easy.”
Revealing more to the world, the 29-year-old said thanks to Neuralink, he could play the video game Civilization VI for eight hours.
But at the same time, he noted that there were some issues and the tech was not perfect.
