Marivillin Gopurangal is an upcoming Malayalam drama that is the buzz of the town right now. While Malayalee cine-goers are eagerly looking forward to its release, it has recently got embroiled in a controversy. A plea was filed against the makers alleging that they cheated the complainant by promising to distribute the movie after receiving the money.
As per reports, the Kerala High Court recently dismissed the plea filed against the makers of Marivillin Gopurangal for allegedly cheating the complainant by promising to distribute the movie. It was alleged that the producers had taken money after promising to distribute Marivillin Gopurangal, but later went back on their promise. However, the court ruled that the plea could not be upheld as the documents submitted to the court were baseless.
Justice Devan Ramachandran’s bench dismissed the petition. In the submission, it was stated that there was no connection between the petitioner and the movie Marivillin Gopuarangal. It further mentioned that legal action will be taken against those who have provided allegations against individuals who do good for society.
Marivillin Gopurangal has been written by Arun Bose and Pramod Mohan and directed by Arun Bose. It is headlined by Indrajith Sukumaran, Shruti Ramachandran, Sarjano Khalid and Vincy Aloshious. The principal photography of the movie began in April 2023 in Kochi and a puja ceremony was scheduled. It was wrapped up by June 2023. The music department is handled by Vidyasagar. The cinematography is handled by Syamaprakash M. S., while the editing is done by Arun Bose and Shaijal P. V.
There were reports that the movie would be released in November 2023, however, it got postponed. Details about its release will be revealed soon. The overseas distribution rights have been sold to Resh Raj Film and Play Films. The movie is produced and distributed by Kokers Media Entertainment.
Indrajith Sukumaran, who is known for his movie Kurup joined the set on April 29, 2023, after he completed his shoot with Varun Panicker’s Njan Kandatha Sir’e. He also has movies like Anuradha Crime No.59/2019, Ram and L2: Empuraan in the pipeline.
