When the ED team gets to Arvind Kejriwal’s house, they investigate the alcohol scandal. Will an arrest be made today?

The ED team has reached Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence to probe the alleged liquor policy scam in Delhi. Soon after the Delhi High Court refused to grant relief to Arvind Kejriwal from prosecution, the ED team appeared for questioning. Later, AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj prevented the ED team from entering the house. However, the Delhi Police has taken possession of the house and deployed tight security there. Meanwhile, some AAP leaders have also moved the Supreme Court. The matter will be heard tonight itself to try to avoid Kejriwal’s possible arrest.

ED officials said they have come to the residence to summon Kejriwal. However, sources said the ED team has a warrant for the raid and has started checking the residence. It is also being said that an inquiry may be initiated against Kejriwal. Kejriwal has been summoned nine times by the ED since last year. Kejriwal, however, did not respond to the summons even once.

Briefing the media, Bhardwaj said, “It appears that raids are going on at Kejriwal’s residence. We are not allowed inside anyone. Perhaps preparations are on to arrest Chief Minister Kejriwal.

AAP leader and minister Atishi also reacted to the development. “The people of Delhi consider Kejriwal as their brother and son. He brought about a paradigm shift in the lives of Delhiites. This is why PM Modi is scared of Kejriwal. If you try to arrest a popular chief minister, countless people will come out in his support.”

Sources said six to eight ED officials have reached Kejriwal’s residence. He has issued his 10th summons to Kejriwal today. Nine summonses have already been issued. Several police officers of the rank of additional commissioner of police have also reached the chief minister’s residence. Kejriwal is said to be being questioned under Section 50 of the PMLA Act.
